Personal Review about L'Oréal Professionnel Paris Silver Shampoo
By Deejimon TV - November 29, 2013
Hey hey hey awesome peeps! It's 5:55 in the morning and am starting my day productively by enhancing some photos I took yesterday and writing a new blog entry! Btw, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
As promised, I am writing my personal review about my purple shampoo, L'Oréal Professionnel Série Expert Silver. This really saves my career in showing off my super awesome bleached blonde hair because after few weeks of having a lighter hair, I am beginning to notice that it's turning out to be yellowish in color which is perfectly normal for asian or people who have very dark hair after they bleach their hair which is not fine because it will make your bleached hair cheap and so uncool!
Thanks to Camie Juan from Wild-Spirit for sharing her hair products since she also has bleached blonde hair. Unfortunately, I was not able to buy what she's using because the shipping fee is very expensive and it is more expensive than the shampoo itself!
Then I found an alternative from eBay and I can say that this is the cheapest purple shampoo on eBay!
L'Oréal Professionnel Série Expert Silver -- I bought mine for $15.00.
I'm loving it!
The purple mixture
Pros:
After using the shampoo, you can see the effect immediately as it lightens your yellowish hair. I don't know the scientific explanation to this but they say that purple contradicts yellow even in the color wheel so for our hair, it tones down the yellow color and make it whiter or silver-ish.
So if you want immediate result, try this!
Cons:
This shampoo is very concentrated so if you are particular with your nails then use protective gloves in applying because mine turned out purple-is in color. lol
For the gloss effect, L'Oréal Professionnel Paris Silver Shampoo failed to commit to it because one of the side-effects of using this shampoo is it will make your hair dry after using so what I do is I soak my hair to keratin product or a good amount of hair conditioner after using so it will become soft.
And also, do not leave it to your hair for a maximum of 5 minutes because it will make your hair purple in color unless you like it that way. lol
Another one, this shampoo is not for everyday use. Use it if there are yellow color on your hair. I think once a week is fine.
See the difference?
There you go, I said what I have to say so before I end this post, selfie mode on!!! lol
If you are planning to bleach your hair and have questions, feel free to email, tweet, facebook or comment below! I am a friendly blogger and always respond so don't be scared. hihi
UPDATE:
Unfortunately, purple shampoos designed for blonde hairs are not available in the Philippines. I tried searching in Watsons, Hortaleza etc but they are not familiar with it because there are only few filipinos who dare to bleach their hair that is why I bought mine on eBay.
I have read a blog post about DIY or homemade purple shampoo for her bleached hair and she is mixing purple food color to a conditioner and applying it to her hair, according to the blogger, it worked fine and it actually toned down the yellowness of her hair.
I tried putting "tina" or the purple dye used for white shirts on my hair but it did not work at all. But just to be safe, buy products that are tested and really working to avoid any damage to your hair.
To let you know, I am not affiliated with L'Oreal and everything is based on my experience after using the product. I was not paid and this is NOT a sponsored blog entry.
