United Parcel Notification in my Mail! A Spam or Not?

I am an online buyer so I always receive parcels from the US and other part of asia through different mailing company. I got one from UPS or United Parcel Service once so I am a little bit confuse and curious about the emails that I am receiving from them for like once a week. I bought a book on eBay last month and I am expecting it to be delivered to me anytime so I want to believe this email from UPS.

It says that my parcel was sent and it will arrive within 7 business days. I got the same email last week and the week before that but I am not receiving any parcel from them. 

What is suspicious about the mail is the file that was attached along with the email entitled UPS notify.rar. I don't know what will happen if I click and download the file though.

What do you think? Is this a spam? If you are receiving the same email please share your thoughts about this issue.

    Hi Deej from the land of Oz.

    NO DON'T OPEN IT - delete it and delete it from your deleted email folder.

    It's a virus (trojan).

    Unless you are using a remote email client (web mail) etc, your virus protection software on your PC should have picked it up - my AVAST free certainly did.

    Basically, if you've received an email that appears bogus then you should delete it.

    I received the same email today (March 24, 2011) and am in the same predicament. I am expecting a parcel UPS, but this looks very suspicious. Gmail sent it to my Spam box. I was looking there for any info about my delivery. I have not opened the email attachment.

    I received the same email too but when i clicked it, my anti-virus software popped out and it said it's a virus. Thanks to my anti-virus...

    I recievd the same thing im not expecting anything in the mail tho, by antivirus blocked it.

    Do not open and don't download the file attached. It may have virus on it. Don't be fooled with this email especially when it came from the SPAM folder.

    can someone please help me i have ordered something offline and a few minutes later i got an email in my spam saying exactly what was said on top p-ost now my computer is infected will i still recive my package ??
