Aside from writing some helpful articles on the blogs that I have been managing for almost four years now and actually earning small amount of dollars every month by doing some blogging errands from different kinds of clients I meet online and to those who just send me random blog collaboration inquiries. I also use Adsense to earn little by little and I can say that my earnings from month after month is quite improving.

That was the time that I realized, blogging is not all about myself. People will not be interested to read my blog if I just talk about my daily experiences.

So I decided to convert my blog into a general-niche site where I feature everything that I think helpful to some other people browsing the internet.

INSTEAD OF BLOGGING ABOUT MYSELF; I DECIDED TO BLOG ABOUT SOMETHING HELPFUL TO OTHERS.

That is my key to success when it comes to my Adsense journey. If you cannot let go of your personal online journal, then you can create another blog where you can blog differently. Change the style of your writing and engage more to your readers. It would be better if you can also stick with a blog that has a specific topic like what I did when I created my fashion blog dedicated for men called, "Fox my Style".

Now that I am doing very good with my Adsense account and looking forward to receiving my very first paycheck from them by next year, I am now trying out affiliate marketing for the first time.

SO, WHAT IS AFFILIATE MARKETING?

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts. [wikipedia]

It is like selling items online and when someone bought it under your ID, then you will get commission from it. Not an easy money, I am telling you.

AFFILIATE WEBSITES I AM CURRENTLY USING

I just signed up to two affiliate websites so far because I just want to focus with only few things. I don't want to get overwhelmed with too many things in my pocket so the first thing that I have signed up with was Linkshare Rakuten then a Philippine based online store, Lazada.

I have been promoting some of their products on my three active blogs via banner ads and some mentions on some of my blog entry. Deeplinking is the technique here and I am going to tell you something about it in my next blog entry about the same topic.

DID I EARN ALREADY FROM LINKSHARE AND LAZADA PHILIPPINES?

Unfortunately, not yet. I just started promoting their products early last month so technically, I am on the process of sowing some seeds that I am sure I will reap in the near future. I will tell you as soon as I earn from them, okay?
